Sochi-opening-rings_full_600This week’s topic of the week is for both classes – PRCA 2330 & PRCA 3334.

If you have been online at all the past few days you have heard and read about problems at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. If not, you have missed out on some laugh out loud moments.

From a public relations perspective, what could those associated with the Sochi games do to alleviate the problems? Should they have done more in advance of the games to prepare? What public relations advice would you offer during this time of crisis when people should be talking about the athletes and events, rather than accommodations, etc.? What do you think these Olympics will best be remembered for – the problems or the athletes?

On a lighter note, what is your favorite winter Olympic sport to watch and why?
